Tour introduction

We will ride to Orkhon valley and Naiman Nuur/Eight Lakes, located in Khangai mountain range. 

The Eight Lakes are called Shireet, Mukhar, Khaliut, Bugat, Khaya, Duruu and Khuis. Those lakes were created by volcanic eruption.

Orkhon valley, registered as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2005. There are many of Mongolia’s ancient monuments lie within its basin. There is Orkhon waterfall also called UlaanTsutgalan, formed by a series of volcanic eruptions about 20.000 years ago.


Day by day itineraries

Day1. Arrival in Mongolia and make short city tour in UB (D)
Day2.  Elsen Tasarkhai or Semi sand dunes (B/L/D)
Day3.  Orkhon Valley and half day trekking (B/L/D)
Day4. Trekking to Bodongiin am (B/L/D)
Day5. Naiman Nuur - Eight lakes - Trekking (B/L/D)
Day6-7. Trekking to the Baruun River (B/L/D)
Day8. Trekking to the Shavart (B/L/D)
Day9. Kharkhorin and Erdenezuu monastery and hike to Tuvkhun temple (B/L/D)
